6 Months Pregnant & Demolishing Our Home: The Full Story Revealed!
In this video, I’m sharing the story of why my husband Michael and I are tearing down our 1874 century home. We bought the house in 2016, excited to start our life together, even though finances were tight due to my medical school debt. We thought we had found the perfect place—charm, land, and space for a garden, plus proximity to nature and town. But after years of enjoying it as our weekend/holiday getaway, we discovered serious mold problems that we hadn't realized were affecting our health.
What started as chronic sinus infections and occasional respiratory issues turned into severe distress during my pregnancy, and it was then that we discovered the mold levels were six times above the livable limit. Despite doing some renovations and trying to address the issues, we ultimately had to face the reality that the house was unliveable.
Now, after months of uncertainty and the emotional rollercoaster of not having a stable home during my pregnancy, we’ve made the tough decision to tear it down. Today marks the day we start fresh and finally begin the journey of building the house of our dreams.
Thanks for listening to our story—I’m excited to move forward and share this next chapter with you!
